Nothing warms you up better than a hot coffee cocktail on a cold winter night. These are some hot coffee cocktails that are sure to please.

Café Amore

Easy to make and even easier to drink, Café Amore is a warm coffee cocktail you’ll fall in love with. Sometimes also called a French Connection, here’s how to make one cocktail:

Ingredients:

  • One ounce cognac
  • One ounce amaretto
  • One cup of your favourite Lavazza Blue blend
  • Whipped cream
  • Shaved almonds

Irish Coffee glasses are ideal for Café Amoré. Warm the glass first. Then pour in the cognac and amaretto. Add coffee until the glass is nearly full. Top with whipped cream and sprinkle some shaved almonds on top as a garnish.

Caramel Irish Coffee

Irish Coffee is a classic hot coffee cocktail. Caramel Irish Coffee is Irish Coffee with a delicious twist. Here’s how to make it:

Ingredients:

  • One ounce Irish whiskey
  • One ounce Bailey’s Irish Cream
  • One ounce butterscotch schnapps
  • 2 ½ ounces of your favourite Lavazza Blue blend
  • Whipped cream
  • Caramel

Warm an Irish Coffee glass first. Add all the ingredients except the whipped cream and caramel. Stir the ingredients together and top with whipped cream. Drizzle caramel over the whipped cream and serve.

Orient Express

As exotic as the old orient, the Orient Express will depend on your being able to find a good ginger liqueur in your area. If you can, you’re home free. The combination of ginger and espresso is ideal for frosty nights in the dead of winter.

Ingredients:

  • ¾ ounce ginger liqueur
  • One teaspoon sugar
  • One cup espresso

As with the other recipes, the Orient Express is best served in a warmed Irish Coffee glass. Simply add all the ingredients together, stir well and enjoy.

Roman Rasta Coffee

You’ll want to use a full-bodied dark roast for this Roman Rasta Coffee to complement the other great flavours in this truly international hot coffee cocktail.

Ingredients:

  • One ounce Sambuca
  • One ounce dark rum
  • Fresh, hot espresso or dark-roast coffee
  • Whipped cream

Start by pouring the Sambuca and rum into a warmed Irish Coffee glass. Fill the glass with coffee and top with whipped cream.
