A cup of coffee is around 98% water! Hard water and coffee do not go together. During brewing it impairs development of the fine flavours. It is also responsible unsightly limescale build-up in your coffee machine that may reduce the life of the appliance.

Thanks to the BRITA filter cartridge you always have optimum freshly treated water for your beverage, so you can drink with a full aroma, perfect taste. 

We recommend that you use either the Brita jug or the Brita in line filters.

MAXTRA Filtration - How it works

• Pre-Filtration: the water flows through a fine mesh filter - simply fill from the tap. 

• Ion Exchange Filtration - the ion exchange resin reduces the heavy metals, including lead and copper, 
  as well as the carbonate hardness that causes limescale build-up in kettles and affects the taste and aroma of tea or coffee.

• Activated Carbon Filtration - the granulated activated carbon significantly reduces substances that affect the taste and 
  odour of your tap water, such as chlorine, certain pesticides and organic impurities. 

• Final Filtration - fine mesh particle filter. 

• MAXTRA Flow Control - ensures a consistent flow rate through the cartridge and optimises the contact times 
  between water and filtration media for superior performance.

The solution: BRITA‘s PURITY C Quell ST filter cartridges have been specially developed for use in the catering, vending and coffee sector to reduce the carbonate hardness in drinking water, thus avoiding scale deposits in the upstream appliance.  The PURITY filter removes heavy metal ions such as lead and copper, whilst also reducing cloudiness, organic impurities and chlorine that impair the quality and taste of the filtrate including the by-pass water.
